Lyda’s Ladies –  from Kunst en Cultuur Aalsmeer…

Lyda’s Ladies consists of 12 experienced singers and is accompanied by conductor and pianist Lyda van Tol. The choir was founded in 2013, initially as a project choir, to provide a one-off performance at the opening of the Piano Promenade in Amstelveen. That was such a fun and musical experience, for both singers and audience, that it was decided to stay together as a choir: Lyda’s Ladies! The repertoire is very diverse and varied; from classical to close harmony, from gospel to pop. Lyda’s Ladies is enthusiastic, unique and very driven. In recent years, the Ladies have given various performances, including during the Piano Promenade in Amstelveen in 2013 and 2016, at Jazz in the Oude Dorp in 2016 and in the Haarlem hofjes during the Koorbiennale in Haarlem in 2017. In November 2017, Lyda’s Ladies gave her first own concert in the Urbanuskerk in Bovenkerk At Christmas, the Ladies perform in various Amstelveen healthcare institutions. Lyda van Tol studied piano and singing at the conservatory in Amsterdam. She has extensive experience as a soloist, as a singing teacher and as a coach of chamber choirs and ensembles.
